Title of Thesis

Isolation, derivatization of compounds from carrot seed oil and their antifungal potential.

Description

Worked on extraction of oil through carrot seed using Clevenger apparatus. Prepared Methanol, DCM and Hexane Extracts using Soxhlet Apparatus. Isolate and derivatize various organic compound using Column Chromatography and TLC. Structure of isolated and derivatized compound was elucidated on basis of FTIR, 1H NMR and 13C NMR spectroscopy. Performed Antifungal activity against rice fungi on carrot oil, its isolated and derivatized compound.
